You will have the option of taking an original Medicare plan or a Medicare Advantage plans for 2021. With the different components and features of the Medicare original plan, sometimes, it can be daunting to determine which way to go. You should know that there are different components of the Medicare Advantage Plans that are similar to the Original Medicare, and vice versa. Understandably, both packages will provide you with the offers of the Medicare Part A and Part B. Another similarity is that the Hospice benefit will come from both the original Medicare and the Medicare advantage plan. A quick look on the Original Medicare Plan.

It is important to note that the Original Medicare plan is a government created program that goes all the way back to 1965.  The package comprises of List of Medicare Advantage plans. The first one is the Part A and the second one is the Part B. Medicare part A is also referred to as hospital insurance. The package will take care of the costs incurred in skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes. The second part is Part B. It is also referred to as the Medical insurance cover. The cover will take care of the costs of preventive case, lab tests, and visits to doctors, medical equipment, and more. You should note that both the Medicare Part A and Part B come with their own deductibles, copayments, co-insurance, and more.

Medicare advantages plans compared to original Medicare plans.

As previously stated, both the two covers comprise of Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B. However, the two covers vary when it comes to prescription drugs.  The Medicare advantage offers cover to prescription drugs with many of its plans, but not all of them. On the contrary the Original Medicare includes cove for limited prescription drug coverage.  With it, you it will not provide cover to certain prescription you will take at home.

Another area of difference when you Compare Medicare Advantage plans and the original Medicare is in the choice of any doctor that will take the Medicare assignment. The original Medicare plan will offer you that advantage. However, not in the Medicare advantage plans. Some of them will need you to only use the doctors featured in their network. When it comes to the out of pocket costs, some plans in the Medicare Advantage Plans may have deductibles while others will not. However, the original Medicare plans has deductibles in Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B. Another area of our pocket costs where the two offers will vary is with its premiums. Some plans will have no premiums in the Medicare advantage plans. That is contrary to Medicare Part A&B that has monthly premiums. You should note that you will be exempted from paying the Medicare Part premiums if you pay the monthly costs.
