How I celebrated National Brush Day

Monday, November 4, 2013

We had a lot of fun sorting through all of the candy that Savannah and Joey received for Halloween. They enjoyed sorting them into piles. They had groups of candy they liked, groups they did not like, and then sorted them by type. Both of the kids were even kind enough to let me and Dan have some of our favorite candies. Savannah had really looked forward to the sugary, gummy treats that looked like eyeballs! I have a hard time even trying to munch on those!

This was a perfect time for National Brush Day and I am thrilled to have been a part of it! It is very important to educate children about the lifelong importance of brushing their teeth and doing it correctly.

We had a lot of fun scrolling through the Thunderclap Tweets and Facebook posts.

We even took pictures of each other brushing our teeth for two minutes, two times that day!

The best part is – the fun doesn’t have to stop! Here are links to some of the free, two-minute videos on — featuring characters from some of my kids’ favorite programs — that my kids watched while brushing. My kids loved them! And the two-minute clips helped me easily measure the amount of brushing time that is recommended by leading dental health experts.
